Well, today I am both excited and saddened to be sharing this post with you!   (And I waited til the 3rd, so  you know it's not an April Fool's joke.  Sheesh, that just dawned on me!!)

As you noticed, things have been quieter here.

Things are changing for us, and we are making plans for the future to move into something new and exciting for our family.  With that decision made, I decided to step down from all of my card making responsibilities and design teams and originally planned to step down from everything online as well.  However, we have tweaked the original plan some when things changed for us.  We are still pursuing a form of Plan A, but it's probably going to take  longer than we planned.

So I went back over and thought about what I really wanted to be doing.

I've been thinking about the amount of time and effort I put into this blog and YouTube and even though I love it, it's a lot.  And it's not taking me in the direction that we want to go as a family as a whole.  It's very time consuming to keep up a blog and YouTube channel when you are just doing it for fun.  When I wasn't working, it was a great way to keep up with people and something to do.  And to be honest, I've loved it.

In the midst of following our dream, I found a few new things to me.

First, I came across Chalky & Company, which is a fairly new company on the market.  The specialize in Chalky Paints and product kits that you can do right in your own home.  It was really something I wanted to do - hosting craft parties - but living in the middle of nowhere, gathering supplies and having them available is hard.  So this company took all of that work out of the picture and made it easier for me!  I am SO PUMPED to be with Chalky & Company.

Second, I made a list of things I wanted to really focus on which is the vast variety of crafts.  And I pondered if I really even want to continue on with this online journey.  I do.  I really do, at least until we finalize plans of other things.

However, I don't plan to continue things on the blog.  I will focus my work to YouTube and my Facebook page.  That seems to be where the action is, and I want to make more time for the craft themselves.

IF YOU FOLLOW MY BLOG - please head over the YouTube and subscribe to my channel.  THEN, head over to my Facebook page and make sure you like it and follow me there.

THE PLAN - I will be sharing A LOT of Bible Journaling videos on my YouTube, plus some fun projects I've had on my to do list with my Cricut.  And then I will be sharing my Chalky Stuff.  So please be sure to subscribe to me and to both my facebook pages so you don't miss anything!!

Lastly, I want to thank everyone who had me on their Design Teams over the years.  Especially lately, Sandy and Tanya.  And to my team mates on the Scrapbook Blessings Club and Riley & Co and Prickley Pear.  As I told them all, it was so hard for me to actually step down from these positions.

Much love ladies!!

Thank you all so much for visiting my lil space of the 'net!!

Riley & Co Designer Highlight

I am very thankful to be here as the Designer Highlight this month for Riley & Co.  Sadly, this will be my last post with them as my family and I plan new adventures in life.  I am extremely thankful to Tanya and the team for letting be a part of such a great company. I will miss them all and I will miss sharing my love of stamping.  However, I am excited for new adventures!!

My love of cards is great, but I am one with a love for Interactive cards.  Cards with just one more punch to them than a regular A2 sized card.

double 1

Today I wanted to share a double slider card with you and the secret to this card!!  It’s a plastic grocery bag.

I created video you can WATCH HERE to see how I did this.

double 3

I used the stamps Riley Popping out of a Cake for the main image.  I colored with my Copics and did some paper piecing to the cake.

The sentiment is called Now that I’m Old.  I love the funny bones line of stamps!!

Double Card 2

I did intentionally leave the bottom blank to write a message on.

Again, these type of cards are my most favorite to make and I love being able to share them with those who appreciate them.

Thank you all again for the fun time on the team and I look forward to following you all in the future!!

Hey everyone -

I have a HUGE destashing going on over at my Etsy Store.

I've tried a page here and I've tried YouTube, but I do not have the time right now to focus on keeping track and updating the list.  So this is the easiest way for me to do this.

FOLLOW THIS LINK HERE to get to the Destash Page.  Feel free to check out my cards too!!  HA!!

Thanks for checking this out!!

Riley & Mushroom Lane

Hi guys!  I am up on the Riley & CO blog today, sharing a couple of fun cards.

First up, is Riley from the Dress Up Riley set.  I choose this one, so I could cut it out with a die and play along with The Paper Players challenge for the week.  I ended up creating a shaker card as I wanted to use up those star sequins with this card.

Riley Hula

With the busyness of this card, I choose my favorite Hula Hoop sentiment to go with it.

I think this card will be fun for it's recipient!

Next up, I pulled out a Mushroom Lane image - Polka Dot House 2.

I recently got some Spectrum Noir pencils so I wanted to try blending them out.  It actually was really fun, but I need more colors!!  lol....  What else is new right?

Riley Mushroom

These images are big enough to stand alone on cards, but I did add some enamel dots and a cute lil gnome that Tanya had given me.

I think he works perfect on this cute lil house.

Thanks for visiting today.  Make sure you check out the Riley Blog for more inspiration from the other ladies!!

February Family Fun

I feel like we are on a bit of a slow motion ride now that most of the major holidays are over now.  Seems like we have a huge let down after Valentine’s Day is over.  But I’ve been enjoying that.  Quiet time.

We had a busy month family wise with lots of fun life things happening.  Exciting things to come as well.  I love that.

The animals have quite the life as well.

We had the chance to go ski one weekend.  We love living in the big state of Montana, but it was a 4 hour one way ride to the mountain.  And we weren’t even half way across the state.  It was fun, but I am officially not a skier.  And despite RC’s look, he did have fun.

RC started the run of traveling tournaments for the year.  In between wrestling and basketball, we don’t have any free time in March.  I’m ok with that!!

Prickley Pear Stamps | Team Post

Hi guys!!  I am back with some fun cards from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps.

Tanya is so generous with her goodies, we got a huge box of fun stuff to play with and I have had a great time.  These butterflies are so awesome!!

PPRS Team 1

I used the butterfly die to die cute this awesome new acetate sheets that I bought.  It's got some fun teal polka dots and it was almost too pretty to use.  HA!  I also stamped a butterfly from Butterflies 2 and die cut it from vellum. Then I used the hole left on the purple sheet to frame it.

I also used up  Blobby Flowers   and coordinating dies to add some more color to it and finished it off with a sentiment and some black enamel dots.

I am so excited to share this with a friend for their birthday.

For my second card today, I was playing with the Spring Scalloped Circle set and had stamped and die cut the scalloped circle.  I wanted some fun patterned paper but nothing I had was really working for me.  So I created my own with the same circle stamp.  It was so much fun creating, but I am not a good precision stamper.

I did add some patterned paper and and fun, frilly ribbon to the bottom.

PPRS Team 1 a

That is all for today!!

The first card is for the weekly challenge at The Paper Players.  This was a fun sketch to play with !!

Mirror Image Stamping with the Misti | Scrapbook Blessings Club

Hi everyone!!  I am super excited to be sharing this technique with you all.  It's called Mirror Stamping.  In order to do this, you do need some sort of flat rubber stamp.  While this isn't actually a stamp, it's used for stamping.

When you stamp ON it, the ink will still be juicy enough to stamp onto the paper.  This will be reversed causing the mirror image.  This is a super fun was to use your stamps beyond their normal abilities.

I share an image of my photo below, this this is the closest stamp set I could find on the market today. It's from Paper Smooches Stamps.

Check out my video today for more details.

For my cards, I used the stamps from MFT called My Favorite Things Die-namic Set - BB Hog Heaven   I love these cute lil images, so I thought putting a couple of flying pigs in love would be fun.

SBC My Favorite Things Mirror Stamping

I am super excited this turned out as well as it did.  This technique is very easy, so I hope you give it a try!!

Dsc02728This is what my stamp used to look like, and came with instructions.

Happy first of March everyone.  Enjoy your week!!
